Carleton Road,1968-1972
This high density, low rise development is in the form of a street lined with 90 terraced houses. Original communal gardens were later divided into individual private ones. This was the first new street in London since World War II.
At the end of the Carleton Road there is a building of 90 flats, designed together with the family houses, to accomodate couples and single people. It sits in a walled garden away from the families.
